Families for Repatriation International

Western governments are facing growing pressure to repatriate their own nationals held in dangerous and overcrowded camps and prisons in northeastern Syria. The dire and life-threatening conditions men, women and children are living under in the camps and prisons have sparked anger and grief in families of these people and a network has emerged; Families for Repatriation International (FRI). The network brings together family members of foreign nationals held in Syria and is being backed by human rights organisations and lawyers involved in legal cases on behalf of those in detention.

We are thrilled to hear about the network and hope they will succeed. You can read much more about the network here.
