Khaled’s story.. An update

Months ago we wrote about Khaled and his difficult situation:

”When the conflict started in 2011 in Syria ‘’Khaled’’ left his home country in order to work in voluntary aid organisations. When the conflict became bloodier and deadlier ‘’Khaled’’ feared for his life and fled to the nearest country, Turkey. ‘’Khaled’’ tried contacting the relevant embassy but received no response at all. Right2Return and ‘’Khaled’’ were then informed through his family members that ‘’Khaled’’ was accused of so-called ‘’terrorist financing’’ and that ‘’Khaled’s’’ aid was sent to people Western governments would label as ‘’terrorists’’ (!!!). We, together with ‘’Khaled’’, find this absurd. ‘’Khaled’’ had one intention: to help his poor brothers and sisters in this Ummah and he is able to document that. Right2Return is in constant dialogue with ‘’Khaled’’ and are helping him legally.”

We are now happy to update you that we have managed to make sure that ”Khaled” has a stable life in Turkey. This means he now has a job and a place to live which makes his unfortunate situation and life conditions a bit easier and managable. However, we are also STILL shocked at the accusations against ”Khaled” and the constant eagerness from the Kufr government to make ”Khaled’s” life difficult. We hope we can bring back justice to ”Khaled’s” situation …
