What we do

With this website Right2Retun offers a platform that allows you to tell your story; to be heard.

The impact of the ‘War on Terror’ is far reaching and our clients reflect this. Our clients come from all backgrounds – we help mothers, fathers, wives, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends looking for answers or fighting for justice for their loved ones.

Whether there is an urgent crisis or an ongoing issue we will treat each case with professionalism, confidentiality and compassion. We are not lawyers and cannot represent you legally. But our experience with counter-terrorism case-law and our engagement with the community means we have a deep understanding of the complex issues that affect our clients, and we are uniquely positioned to offer valuable insight, guidance and support. Likewise, we have people on the ground who can offer you the help and support you need locally. We can help you find housing and work, and if you are in urgent need of medicine, clothing or food we can assist with that too.

How we do it

You can get in touch with us in two ways. By submitting your story – your testimony – on our website or contacting us on our helpline.

When you contact Right2Return through our helpline you will be put in touch with whom you can share your story. We will seek to understand what has happened; identifying any potential breaches of your human rights and/or due process, address any immediate concerns or questions that you may have and provide preliminary recommendations. Following this and depending on your circumstances, we will put you in touch with a local charity/welfare person who will be able to provide you with the needed help. Our advice and approach will always be tailored to your situation and we will remain sensitive to your needs. You will be guided and helped through each stage of the process – whether that be by helping explain certain documents, drafting job applications or coming up with a plan of action in the place you are stranded. We will be around for as long as you need us.

When you submit your story it will be shown on our website, if you give your permission. With your story you will be given a voice, and other fellow Muslims will know that they are not alone. With your story you will create awareness of the unfair treatment you and so many other Muslims are facing all over the world. With your story you will help us to challenge the state of power and with time create political change by putting pressure on the states who unrightfully are depriving their Muslim citizens of their citizenship.
